Afternoon tea at Liberty Rose’s vintage tea room is a lovely thing.
A great place to go with friends or family for a coffee and slice of cake, the elegant white interior, accented with gorgeous pastel shades is as pretty as a picture. The full length windows and high ceilings make it a lovely light space to relax and enjoy.
Oh wait, did I mention there is divine cake, hot coffee and tea? Dreamy :) I can personally vouch for the courgette and lime cake (and several other flavours, ah hum)! If you fancy something more savoury Claire also serves up delicious sandwiches, jacket potatoes and soup (Carrot and Coriander anyone? Mmmm).
Littlelish and I like to pop in after school with Granddad as a special treat to enjoy a milkshake and if Littlelish is lucky she might talk me into getting her a slice of red velvet cake, her favourite.
Perfectly child friendly, Liberty Rose’s tearoom has toys and books galore and a lovely little playhouse to keep them occupied. Mums can pop upstairs and drool over all the beautiful items for sale in Maison du Maddie, a lovely boutique store selling homeware, accessories, vintage and handmade goodies.
It is definitely a place that makes me smile, from the vintage tea sets, little flower arrangements to the stripey straws…
Happiness is tea at Liberty Rose’s!
